Born in Palo Alto and raised in Los Altos, Carl has seen major growth in the Bay area giving a strong insight to Santa Clara County real estate market's driving forces. In 1972, after graduating from the University of California at Chico with a B.A. degree in Education, Carl entered the real estate industry. One year later he joined the Referral Realty team and by 1976 he purchased and became president of the company. He lends strong credence to Referral's team members having the opportunity for superior standards, on-going training and education, and the motivation to do what they desire the most. Possessing refined complementary skills, Carl, his wife Betty, and son Chris strive to uphold Referral's motto "Expect Excellence." Born in Albany, Oregon and after attending Oregon State University, in 1966 Betty relocated to "sunny California." After working for a bay area law firm she entered the real estate industry in 1977. Her legal background and tenacious desire to accomplish is evident in every escrow she closes. Through her amiable attitude she stresses the importance of open communication to bypass aggravation and disappointment that may occur in real estate transactions. Chris Zanger, Realtor
Chris Zanger graduated from California State University, Chico in May of 2002 with a Management degree. Immediately after graduation Chris started a management training program with a multi-million dollar firm. After completing his training program he put himself into the fast paced Los Angeles Media/Ad Sales world, providing consulting services to the largest action sports companies around. After a couple of years in the media advertising business he decided to make his career in Real Estate. Chris was very excited to join his family, Carl & Betty Zanger who have personally sold over 60 years of Real Estate combined, equaling to more than 1500 transactions. Growing up Chris watched his father Carl build his business. He admired Carl and always wanted to portray the role that his father plays so well. “Being a second generation realtor is an honor.
